Visit Kingston's largest shopping department, the Cataraqui Centre, for endless shopping.

The city is situated at the mouth of the Cataraqui and St. Lawrence River, connected to Lake Ontario. Enjoy the water by walking along the Great Lake Waterfront trails. This pathway is a scenic 8 km route connecting to the downtown core for easy access. It extends from King Street down to near Emma Martin Park.  This pathway also forms part of the 900km Waterfront Trust Trail that runs from Niagara to Quebec and the southern terminus of the Rideau Trails.

The Thousand Islands are also easily accessible from Kingston and are located along the St. Lawrence River. The islands are popular for camping, hiking, and sightseeing and accessible by boat and are a must see when visiting Kingston.
