Batawa is a small community with a population of an approximate 300 people. located in the city of Quinte West (Trenton) between Frankford and Trenton placing this community at a short 5-minute drive to the 401.
Situated on the west bank of the Trent River, taking part in the nearby Lock 4 of the Trent-Severn Waterway.
Batawa was originally set up by the Bata Shoe Company as a planned community around the factory. This factory opened in 1939 and closed in 2000. The old building was remodeled into a luxury apartment complex called "Batawa Lofts” and consists of 47 residential units ranging from 590 sq.ft to 1,220 sq.ft of space. The ground floor and 2nd floor are rented out for commercial use, making this a great location for investors.
